Dear Ollie
Mama wants you to know that sometimes adult silliness gets in the way. Sometimes we have to do boring chores, clean up messes and EVEN do work. And this is of no fun or interest to you. Sometimes your dada and I get caught up in our heads ... with worries, plans, the future. But quite often you'll do something precious, like climb up on your easel (to where the plastic ledge your standing is cracking and you're moments away from becoming "special") or you start singing your ABC's randomly or you say "bye bye" to the book you've just finished reading— and god if those moments don't just breath some life back into us.
