Mama's earings

Ollie loves my jewelry—necklaces, rings and esp. earrings—he just loves the sparkles and the stones. He loves wearing the necklaces and parading around like they are gold medals. The other night he wanted to play with the earrings I was wearing and I took one off and gave it to him. The he asked "Put it in my ears, Ollie wear earrings?" And bless his little heart I had to explain he couldn't because he hadn't gone through the barbaric process of stapling holes into his lobes. Immediately Mick and his pop pop grabbed their ears and said "We don't wear earrings, see!" But it didn't satisfy Ollie an he actually cried and got very upset for a moment because he couldn't wear mama's earrings. Was honestly so heart melting.
