Dear Ollie

Today I picked you up from school and before we left you ran over to the dress up clothes, put on a bright yellow hat and said " I like the hat!" in your playful little voice. Now mama was tired—I wanted to get home and get some food in you and I was a bit in a rush. I smiled at you and said, but then reminded you we had to go and spent five minute trying to get you to put the hat back ...which you did in the end. I want you to know that I really don't want to spend my time rushing you and redirecting you. But a lot of time I have to do that. I hope you know that all the cute stuff you do, even if it is not at a convenient moment, is what I remember. It makes me smile so big.
